The Deal
Service Agreement
Version 1. Effective August 13, 2026.
These are the terms for working with Tech Dad Media. Plain English on purpose. If something here doesn't match what we agreed in writing for your specific deal, the written deal wins. Website use, liability, and the lawyer stuff live in the Terms of Service.
1. What you're buying
Your plan is the one named in your proposal or checkout: Keep The Lights On, Make The Phone Ring, or Full Authority. What's included is what's listed for that plan on the pricing page when you sign up, plus anything we added in writing. If it's not written down, it's not in scope.
2. The term
Three-month minimum, then month to month. After month three you can cancel anytime, effective at the end of your current billing month. No annual contracts, no auto-renewing lock-ins. The setup fee and the first three months are the commitment. That's it.
3. Payment
- ✓Setup fee is due before work starts. Monthly billing runs through Stripe on your signup date each month.
- ✓If a payment fails, you'll get a heads up. If it stays unpaid for 14 days, work pauses and the site can come down until it's settled. Nothing gets deleted.
- ✓Setup fees aren't refundable once the build starts.
4. You own everything
You leave, you take your site with you. Domain stays yours, content stays yours, site files get handed over, and you keep access to your Google Business Profile, ads accounts, and your lead data. Nothing's held for ransom. Ever.
5. What I need from you
- ✓Access when I ask for it: domain registrar, hosting, email, Google Business Profile. Delays on access push the timeline, not the billing date.
- ✓Timely answers on approvals. If I send something for review and hear nothing for 7 days, I'll use my best judgment and keep moving.
- ✓Your photos, licenses, and claims have to be true and yours to use. If you hand me a photo you don't own the rights to, that's on you.
6. Exclusivity
Make The Phone Ring and Full Authority plans include market exclusivity: one trade per service area. I won't take on your direct competitor in the cities named in your plan while you're an active client.
7. What I don't promise
Rankings and lead counts depend on your market, your reviews, and Google. I'll show you real numbers every month and do the work, but nobody can guarantee a map position, and anyone who does is lying to you.
8. Cancelling
After the three-month minimum, tell me in writing (text or email counts). Your plan runs through the end of the paid month, then handoff per section 4. If you cancel inside the first three months, the remaining months of the minimum are still owed.
9. Changes to these terms
If these terms change, existing clients stay on the version they agreed to unless they okay the new one. New version, new number, new effective date.
